At the height of laughter, the universe is flung into a kaleidoscope of new possibilities.-- Jean Houston

At our Weekend Getaway at Cascadia, a group of fascinating, courageous and talented women created a space where laughter fueled togetherness, nature inspired reverence, creativity re-energized spirits, healing fostered compassion and the cuisine of the Goddess Jonnita nurtured bodies and souls.

A kaleidoscope of community was explored: patterns of meeting of new friends and old; colours of music and dancing; glass fragments of collage; symmetrical elements of reading and writing; deep revelations through Reiki, Tarot, intuition; waterfalls in verdant woods; bright reflections of mind and heart around the dinner table or fireside; and games and word play that mirrored natural youthfulness!

Cascadia House became the kaleidoscopic tube, the light-filled container through which we could view ourselves and others in new and refreshing ways, and where our experience of sharing life’s exquisite stained glass patterns paved the way for the path ahead. We now venture to the next bend in the road with curiosity and confidence.

Yes, the whole become more than the sum of its parts!

Kaleidoscope. Early 19th Century: from Greek kalos  ‘beautiful’ + Eidos ‘form’ + scope ‘to look at or examine’.

To love what you do and feel that it matters—how could anything be more fun?-- Katherine Graham
