January 2010 Circle of Women

The Circle of Women reconvenes this coming weekend at Cascadia House, to reconnect, review the past year and set intention for the new. Things are shifting quickly now for almost everyone we know, and the richness of life’s intensities, as always, brings beauty, challenges, promises and adventures. If you are interested in the circle and what we’re about, leave a comment below and we’ll get back to you.

Website Update

The Carols, Stewart and Sill, have been working on the website (finally) adding the exciting new weekend getaways section. Be sure to check it out.

Here we are just testing out how the posts work so we will have a much better site in the future. We’re interested in your comments and hope to hear back from you soon. Please send us any photos you might have of the Creek and area, we’d love to post them here. Also if you have any poetry, reflections or thoughts send them over in the comment area below this section.

Leah Hokanson

Leah HokansonLeah Hokanson is a pianist, vocalist, choral director, facilitator and speaker based in Gabriola Island.

“Music has been central to my professional life for almost three decades. As both a performer and teacher, I have made music in a wide range of contexts: from concert halls to classrooms; from formal ceremonies to campfire sing-a-longs.

Although I have been a performer for many years, music has always been a vehicle to explore creativity and the brain, a way to enter creative space with others, and a way to understand what it means to live fully in community.”
