Mariette Berinstein on Rosen Method
Mariette Berinstein discusses Rosen Method bodywork
Women’s Mindfulness and Intimacy, Sept. 24-26
Once again, Cascadia welcomes the Women’s Mindfulness and Intimacy Retreat with Nancy Mortifee, assisted by Carol Sill.
The weekend residential workshop this fall gives an opportunity to explore deeply and welcome the engagement of our authentic selves.
What women say about Nancy’s workshops:
“I can truly say it exceeded all my expectations and was a much needed tonic at this time of challenge and crossroads in my life.”
“….it was your exercises and the entire experience that allowed me to come clean and flush all of my pain and fears. I truly feel a new freedom, a new energy has taken over my heart. I feel like I have taken my power back.”
“I am still feeling the glow of the work, the intention and loving circle that you created. It really was powerful energy medicine.”
The upcoming September retreat promises to be a deepening of the experience for those of you who attended in June, as well as a new transformative experience if you are attending for the first time.
As always the group size will be small to insure an intimate experience.
What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is the practice of being present; the moment to moment, non-judgmental awareness of how our thoughts and feelings affect our behaviour.
What is Intimacy? Intimacy is the experience of a vulnerable and caring relationship with oneself or another, involving the feeling, expressing and receiving of authentic emotions.

Rosen Method Bodywork Intensive, Oct. 23-30
October 23 – 30, 2010 Cascadia Centre – Roberts Creek BC
ROSEN METHOD is conscious touch. A gentle, respectful, hands-on form of bodywork. Working with chronically tight muscles, Rosen Method Bodywork encourages physical and emotional awareness. In moments of deep relaxation, long held feelings and memories may surface and be spoken. Clients often become aware of choices they made early in life around which they have shaped their lives. When this awareness happens, they discover new possibilities for regaining freedom of movement and more authentic self-expression.
Bill Samsel - Senior Teacher & Director of Teaching for Cascadia Centre Bill Samsel studied with Marion Rosen. He practices in Santa Cruz, CA, and teaches in Australia, Canada, USA and Germany. Bill has taught the first Rosen Method Men’s Workshops in Germany and Switzerland. With his 24 years of experience Bill is able to create and maintain a safe space for participants, providing them an opportunity for deeper self-awareness and truthful self-expression. He brings warmth, humor and compassion to his work.
Mariette Berinstein – Teacher & Director of Rosen Method Cascadia Centre Mariette came to Rosen Method in 1989 as a part of her personal journey, and discovered her passion for life and this work which has led her on an incredible journey. Mariette first trained with Elaine Mayland and Marion Rosen. She brings to her practice and teaching a deep respect for believing in the individual. Also, a strong belief in the sacredness of a circle and the group as a whole; she creates an allowing, safe place for the individual to reconnect with their wholeness. She has a private practice in Roberts Creek and West Vancouver BC.
These weekend workshops are part of the training, and provide an opportunity for self-discovery by giving participants an opportunity to really explore this work through demonstrations, movement, hands-on experience, witnessing, discussion and personal sharing in a retreat-like setting. The support of the group enriches and deepens the process.
